Paul Gregory works with individuals and couples who have retirement on their minds. They may be ready for the actual transition, or just thinking about the process and wondering how to begin. Or --they may be years into retirement and be wondering if there is a better way to feel comfortable and secure.
Paul brings almost 50 years of business experience, all but two in Virginia, to his financial services practice. His life experience, having successfully transitioned from a senior newspaper editor to Internet executive to financial advisor (in 2005), all while rearing three children with his wife of 45 years means he knows about the vagaries of life in the 21st Century.
Born in the heart of the Boomer generation, his experience navigating the dot com bust from inside the business and working with clients through the Great Recession and the Covid pandemic makes him particularly suited to help fellow Boomers plan for their financial futures.
Paul knows from personal experience about the collapsing of industries and the creation of new ones. He understands the often-conflicting demands of financial goals whatever one’s stage in life. Education planning, wealth accumulation and estate planning can always come into conflict with planning for a successful retirement. Circumstances never stop changing.
Paul lives in Virginia Beach with his wife Catherine and two 10-lb. Yorkshire Terriers. His three grown children all live in Virginia. One resides in Norfolk, another in Yorktown and the youngest in Chesterfield County. He and Cathi are learning all about Medicare first-hand as she just retired after 40-plus years as an R.N. It’s all just more life experience.
Paul has successfully completed the FINRA-sponsored Series 7 and 66 examinations currently held through LPL Financial. He also is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® practitioner as designated by the College for Financial Planning and holds health and life insurance licenses for Virginia and other states.
