In September 2024, after operating his Financial Planning and Investment Management Practice for nearly 18 years in Virginia Beach, VA, owner Dan Neice, MBA, CFP® opened a new branch office in Coastal Virginia’s newest Metropolitan Center—Summit Pointe located in Chesapeake, VA. Coastal Virginia Wealth Group—Chesapeake currently has five Staff Members and twelve Wealth Consultants, PLUS... one more seasoned insurance professional in the onboarding process, expected to be fully operational by the end of Nov 2025.
Dan moved his family to the Hickory Area of Chesapeake, VA in 1997 to ultimately finish his 21-year career as a naval officer in the U.S. Navy. Dan and his high school sweetheart and wife of 39 years come this November-- Diana..., raised their five children (Ashley, Bill, Zach, Jacob, and Luke) in Chesapeake... and Dan feels proud to finally operate his practice in the city that has become his and Diana's forever home.
Dan & Diana are extremely proud of their children and are grateful for the Chesapeake Public School System, all of the Extra-Curricular Programs available, and their church community that have helped to educate and develop their children—they all attended Hickory Schools. Ashley graduated from Old Dominion University and is married to Nathan. Ashley is a stay-at-home mother of two of Dan and Diana’s grandchildren, Sophie and Conner. Bill is a graduate of James Madison University and a CPA and Tax Managing Director at Anderson Edwards PLLC in VA Beach. Bill is married to Alexis and their daughter Chloe is Dan and Diana’s third grandchild and Callie Diana Neice born in May 2025 makes Grandchild #4!. Zach graduated with a B.S. Degree in Biology from Penn State University and was conferred his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Marymount University in May 2025. Jacob graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering and is currently in his fourth year of Virginia Tech’s Ph.D. of Chemical Engineering Program. Luke also graduated from Virginia Tech, with a B.S. Degree in Finance (Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Track). Luke is working as a Financial Analyst in Richmond, VA and working on his CFA requirements.
Dan graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Citadel with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration (Accounting Concentration) with a Minor in International & Military Affairs. Dan earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from Duke University, where he served as his MBA Class President, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM. He served as the Financial Planning Association of Hampton Road’s President in 2015 and Chairman of the Board in 2016 & 2017. Dan also served as the President of the Duke Alumni Club of Hampton Roads from 2007 to 2020.
Dan admits that NONE of these proud accomplishments would have been possible without the unconditional love, un-parallelled work ethic, support, and extreme level of integrity that his wife, soulmate, and life-long love Diana displayed during their 39 years of marriage.
